Growth Academy Development Journal: May 2025


Blossoming forth from the dirt I rise, hey everyone, Clock here with another Development Journal to show our progress on Growth Academy! I hope everyone has been enjoying their springtime as we transition into summer; I know we have been using it to get everything ready for the upcoming Matsuri celebration at Seichou, which we hope to have written and ready for you in the upcoming build! Along with it, here's what we have been working on!

Honoka has one new scene in progress, as well as a new outfit which is finished and ready!

Shiori has some new CGs in the works, as well as some new expressions in progress and completed!

Naomi has a new outfit complete, a new CG in progress, and a brand new scene rewrite in progress!

Akira has 2 two new scenes (One main route and another dream scene), and two CGs finished!

Alice has new expressions in progress, as well as new CGs in progress!

Aida has steady progress is being made on PRG 062 as well!

Finally, we have more progress on MC010, the Matsuri! Kei, Tomo, Akira and Alice variants completed, Honoka and Aida variants in finishing stage of development, Naomi and Shiori variants in advanced stages of development. We also have an additional MC scene (MC032) completed, two outfits for Kei completed, a new outfit for Kei planned, and as an exciting one: new placeholder sprites for the nurses Kiyomi have been implemented in selected scenes!

I can't get it to work on joiplay

Been champing at the bit for the matsuri ever since it was teased on Discord, can't wait to see each and every one of the girls' events (admittedly being biased towards Aida, Naomi, and Honoka). Cheers to each paths dev team, hope life's treating y'all well.

Thank you so much! Hell yeah, Matsuri is the most ambitious scene we did so far. The scope of it is on the completely different level, with each variant being its own thing feeling like a separate scene on its own, with so many different subplots, callbacks, references, character appearances, reactivity and the like. It's the scene that has a huge replay value, so hopefully it should deliver on its premise about giving players enough content to support multiple playthroughs regardless of the route they're pursuing
